Finance Governance and Organisation Manager; Global Insurance

We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Finance Governance and Organisation Manager; Global Insurance.

In this role you will: 

• Support the review of entity governance processes and committee practices to help ensure alignment with Group and Business standards
• Assist in maintaining the end-to-end governance framework and standards (e.g., committee structures, Terms of Reference, MI requirements), including supporting 1LoD review of Insurance Finance governance materials to improve quality and meeting effectiveness
• Draft and coordinate global Insurance governance materials for key forums (including the Group Insurance Finance Management Meeting (GIFMM)), ensuring outputs are accurate, timely, and aligned to strategic priorities
• Track actions and decisions from governance forums, ensuring clear owners and deadlines are captured, and progress is monitored through to completion
• Provide secretariat support for GIFMM, including agenda planning, paper coordination, logistics, minutes, and action logs, working with Markets and Group stakeholders to support engagement and alignment
• Support strategic communications to Group and senior stakeholders, including assisting with 1LoD review and constructive challenge of key messages and materials (e.g., forecasts, actuals, scenario analysis) to ensure consistency and appropriate governance
• Support assessment of group-wide organisational changes impacting Insurance Finance, helping to coordinate required activities across financial and people dimensions
• Assist the Head of Insurance Finance Governance and Organisation and the Global Insurance CFO with business management activities, communications, and people initiatives
• Help develop and deliver a structured communications plan for the function (e.g., town hall organisations, leadership briefings, organisational updates), ensuring communications are clear, inclusive, and aligned to strategic direction
• Collaborate with the Head of Innovation to help advance the Insurance Finance & Actuarial AI culture agenda and embed it into communications and capability-building activities
• Demonstrate curiosity and a growth mindset, actively engaging in the bank’s AI journey and committing to ongoing learning and development to keep skills current and impactful
• Work collaboratively with teams across the functions to support drive action and efficacy

To be successful you will need: 

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related discipline; accountancy qualification preferred
• Experience in finance, operations, and/or governance (including exposure to change processes)
• Strong organisation skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver to tight deadlines
• Strong and clear written and verbal communication skills (English essential), with the ability to develop clear presentation materials and translate requirements across business and Finance audiences
• Confidence to support constructive challenge, with an ability to work effectively across geographies and matrix teams
• Industry experience in Financial Services preferred, preferably life insurance and banking, with experience supporting high-quality deliverables for senior stakeholders
• Results-oriented with a strong focus on achieving measurable outcomes
• Ability to work to tight deadlines with multiple, important priorities
