Data Analytics - HSBC Global Asset Management

We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as Data Analytics.
The HSBC Asset Management Data & Analytics Office (DAO) includes Data Management Support, Data Services & Data Stewards, Data Change Delivery, Data Architecture & Governance and the Data Science Teams. This role will involve implementing the company's various digital initiatives including automation and data visualisation, supporting data projects and supporting AI adaoption within the Asia region.
In this role you will:
- Be responsible for Data Collection & Management; Gather, clean and validate large datasets from multiple sources to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
- Work on Analysis & Insights; Perform exploratory and advanced data analysis to identify trends, patterns and actionable insights that support business objectives.
- Contribute to Reporting & Visualisation; Develop and maintain dashboards, reports and visualisations using tools such as Power BI, Tableau or Excel to communicate findings to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with busines sunits, IT and other stakeholders to understand data requirements independently and deliver analytical solutions that improve efficiency and drive decision making.
- Be responsibile for Process Improvement; Identify opportunities to streamline business processes and develop automation solutions to increase efficiency and de-risk.
- Assist with AI Adoption & Enablement; Collaborate with data science teams to pilot, implement and scale AI- driven solutions that enhance operational efficiency.
- Prepare Documentation; Maintain clear documentation of data sources, methodologies and analytical processes to ensure transparency and reproducibility.
- Take ownership of Compliance & Security; Ensure all data handling complies with HSBC's data privacy, security and regulatory standards.
To be successful you will need:
- University degree in Finance, Data Science or Technology
- Experience within a data analytics, business intelligence or similar analytical role of Data & Analytics Office in Asset Management
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and languages such as Python, SQL, R
- Experience with data visualisation tools (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik)
- Strong understanding of statistical methods and data modelling techniques
- Experience working with large datasets and relational databases
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to present complex requirement and solution in a clear and concise manner
