Community Investments


As a leading corporate citizen, Hang Seng places strong emphasis on investing in impactful community development initiatives and promoting good corporate citizenship through positive community participation by staff and the general public.


The Community Investments function drives and implements the Bank’s community investments strategy and programmes and staff volunteer activities. We work closely with our community partners to develop, launch and execute corporate responsibility programmes that help enhance social and environmental well-being relevant to present day needs.

We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join us as Community Investments Assistant Manager, reporting to Head of Community Investments.

 

 

Principal Responsibilities

 

Communications

  • Develop engaging and creative content related to the Bank’s community investment strategies and programmes
  • Optimise PR opportunities and adopt an integrated communications approach to enhance the Bank’s standing as a responsible corporate citizen.

 

 

Strategy and Programmes Development

  • Evaluate proposals and manage community investment programmes, collaborating with NGO partners and all stakeholders to ensure seamless and effective delivery of programmes and activities 
  • Lead the design, organisation and coordination of both internal and external programme-related events
  • Assist in developing corporate volunteerism initiatives

 

 

Governance & Control

  • Manage budgeting, due diligence, charity review, performance tracking, analysis, and reporting of charitable donations and sponsorships programmes
  • Maintain a robust and efficient control environment across the department to ensure full compliance with Group policy and procedures

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications or a related field
  • A self-motivated individual with 5 years of relevant experience in PR, communications, event management, or community relations
  • Experience in general administration and database management
  • Collaborative, strong interpersonal and communication skills and a great sense of ownership
  • Able to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Good project management skills and attention to details
  • Proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese
