Through Business Banking our global network offers comprehensive support and services to businesses in the SME market. From expanding overseas to managing the cash and trade flows of an established enterprise, the Business Banking teams provide a range of end-to-end solutions designed to help small and large businesses reach their potential.
We’re currently seeking fresh graduates and high-calibre professionals in their early stage of career to join Business Banking as Associate Portfolio Managers (APMs). Successful candidates will be trained to progress to Assistant Manager and Assistant Vice President, specialising in customer acquisition with a sales and business development focus.
In addition, APMs will join their cohort in a series of trainings and attachments to build product, business and operational knowledge, while also strengthening key soft skills such as Know Your Customer (KYC), communication and presentation, alongside other future-ready capabilities.
In this role you will:
- Manage new customer acquisition in strict compliance with all internal and external KYC (know your customer) regulations and policies
- Identify business opportunities and promote other commercial banking products to maximize business growth
- Enhance customer satisfaction through exceptional customer service
- Develop relationships with business customers through outreach activities
- Support the successful implementation of Business Banking strategies
- Liaise with other teams to deliver product and service solutions
- Make business referrals to appropriate parties in HSBC
To be successful you will need:
- Fresh university graduates or with less than two years of work experience
- Strong interpersonal, communication and influencing skills
- Ability to multi-task and deliver results in a timely manner
- High level of customer centric mind set with dedication to deliver exceptional quality services
- Excellent team player who is self-motivated and able to work under pressure
- Fluency in both English and Cantonese, with additional proficiency in Putonghua is an advantage
- Relevant insurance and investment licenses are mandatory requirements to be obtained within 6 months post onboarding
- Candidate will be assigned to one of the HSBC Business Centre subject to business needs
