We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as Associate 1.
In this role you will:
- Based in Hong Kong as part of HSBC’s regional healthcare investment banking team which advises corporates and financial sponsors focused on the sub-sectors
- Assist senior bankers in the origination and execution of transactions, across M&A, ECM, and financing solutions
- Interact with clients at various levels of management, and act as an integral part of the sector client coverage team
- Lead sector inputs in client presentations and deal executions, develop financial projections and valuation models
- Support a professional, proactive, and performance-driven culture, planning ahead for succession and continuity of skills, and become a recognized role model for juniors in the team
To be successful you will need:
- At least 4 years of M&A/investment banking experience
- Robust financial modelling skills and knowledge of financial valuation techniques
- Experience in healthcare deals especially biotech would be a plus
- Some origination experience, strategic thinker, demonstrable experience of working well within an international team
- Deal execution skills for domestic and cross border M&A and strategic capital raisings
- Track record of building and developing relationships at working level
- Proficient in MS Excel and PowerPoint
- Fluency in English, and Mandarin
