Associate- Healthcare, Capital Markets Advisory

We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as Associate 1.

In this role you will:

• Based in Hong Kong as part of HSBC’s regional healthcare investment banking team which advises corporates and financial sponsors focused on the sub-sectors
• Assist senior bankers in the origination and execution of transactions, across M&A, ECM, and financing solutions
• Interact with clients at various levels of management, and act as an integral part of the sector client coverage team
• Lead sector inputs in client presentations and deal executions, develop financial projections and valuation models
• Support a professional, proactive, and performance-driven culture, planning ahead for succession and continuity of skills, and become a recognized role model for juniors in the team

To be successful you will need:

• At least 4 years of M&A/investment banking experience
• Robust financial modelling skills and knowledge of financial valuation techniques
• Experience in healthcare deals especially biotech would be a plus
• Some origination experience, strategic thinker, demonstrable experience of working well within an international team
• Deal execution skills for domestic and cross border M&A and strategic capital raisings
• Track record of building and developing relationships at working level
• Proficient in MS Excel and PowerPoint
• Fluency in English, and Mandarin
