We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Associate Director, Wealth Credit.

In this role you will:

  • Build and maintain a simple, scalable product shelf for Wealth clients (flow, structured, private credit, financing and digital assets) in partnership with Trading/Structuring, ensuring all offerings meet suitability, conduct and regulatory standards across Retail, HNW, Private Banking and Family Office segments.
  • Work with Quant and eTrading IT to embed market‑making algos into Wealth workflows (automated RFQ, streaming prices, axes), set pricing / risk / collateral / limit parameters for cash, structured and financing flows, and continuously improve algo performance and execution quality.
  • Drive the use of AI Markets and digital tools to automate product discovery, pricing, documentation and post‑trade analytics; give RMs/ICs AI‑enabled ideas and client‑ready content, and shape data / APIs / dashboards / workflows so credit, financing and digital asset solutions are easy to access and use.
  • Act as a key bridge between Global Credit & Financing and Wealth coverage: educate RMs/ICs/Investment Counsellors on product mechanics, risks and portfolio fit; channel client and coverage feedback into product refinements; and partner with Legal, Compliance, Risk, Product Governance and Operations to ensure robust, scalable product lifecycles.
  • Lead product governance for Credit, Financing and Digital Asset solutions (new approvals, periodic reviews, de‑risking and sun‑setting) and ensure all use of algos, AI and digital assets complies with model risk, data governance, conduct and regulatory standards.
  • Define and maintain core product documentation (product programs, term sheets, risk disclosures, client‑facing materials) and ensure they remain accurate, up‑to‑date and aligned with HSBC policies and local regulations.
  • Champion change and adoption: plan and execute roll‑outs of new products, tools and workflows, including RM/IC training, communications and feedback loops.

To be successful you will need:

  • Solid experience in financial markets, with a strong understanding of Credit and Financing products and Wealth segments (e.g. Retail, HNW, Private Banking, Family Offices).
  • Demonstrated experience working with Trading, Structuring and/or Financing desks on product design, pricing, execution or distribution.
  • Prior experience with electronic trading, RFQ platforms, algos or trading systems is highly desirable.
  • Exposure to digital asset / tokenised products and related market infrastructure is a plus.
  • Experience contributing to product governance, new product approvals, or suitability / conduct frameworks in a regulated environment is preferred.
  • Degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics or related discipline.
  • CFA / FRM or similar qualifications preferred but not essential.

The employment is subject to Mandatory Reference Checking Scheme (MRCS) as per regulatory requirement. For details, please refer to (Mandatory Reference Checking Scheme Phase 2 | The Hong Kong Association of Banks).
