We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as Asia sector team as an Associate.

 

In this role you will:

 

  • Be based in Hong Kong as part of HSBC’s APAC sector investment banking team, advising corporates and financial sponsors on strategic and financing transactions
  • Assist senior bankers in the origination and execution of transactions, across M&A, ECM, and financing solutions
  • Engage with clients at various levels of management, and act as an integral part of the sector client coverage team
  • Lead sector inputs in client presentations and deal executions, build financial projections and valuation models
  • Help foster a professional, proactive, and performance-driven culture, support knowledge transfer, and act as a role model for junior team members

 

To be successful you will need:

 

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in investment banking / M&A
  • Strong financial modelling skills and sound knowledge of valuation techniques
  • Strategic thinker, with demonstrable experience of working well within an international team
  • Proven deal execution experience across domestic and cross border M&A and strategic capital raisings
  • Track record of building and developing relationships at working level
  • Proficient in MS Excel and PowerPoint
  • Fluent in Mandarin and English
