Associate, XVA Trading - Corporate & Institutional Banking

We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as an Associate, XVA Trading.
In this role you will:
- Provide CVA, funding, and capital pricing for derivative business
- Manage the credit executions and all credit related task (CDS mapping, generic curves etc.)
- Work as a partner with internal sales and trading desks and explain pricing assumptions and calculation to them
- Identify and implement strategies for capital optimization solutions for all asset classes
- Compute risks sensitivities, analyze and design the hedging strategies and dynamically manage the risks
- Effectively maintains various XVA risk positions whilst adhering to the Bank’s risk appetite
- Reviews daily and/or monthly reports, as assigned
- Ensuring that all transactions deliver fair outcomes for our customers and do not disrupt the orderly and transparent operation of financial markets; and are in line with the HSBC Code of Conduct.
To be successful you will need:
- B.S., M.S. or PhD in engineering, mathematics, physics, statistics, computer science
- Solid experience working in a related role within banking or other financial institutions
- Solid knowledge about Credit derivative products and markets but also some knowledge on (e.g., IRS, CCS, FX, Inflation, etc)
- Strong analytical skills and technical background in mathematics, computer science or finance
- Good understanding about XVA (CFA/FVA/etc) modelling & risk management, and SA-CVA / FRTB framework is a plus
- Hard working and self-motivated
- Effective communication skills, ability and willingness to engage the business
- Delivery focused and willingness to collaborate with other teams
- Ability to multi-task and to work well under pressure, strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Able to understand and manage complex and diverse instruments
