We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as an Associate, HIFS COO.
In this role you will:
- Work with the COO and business teams to implement and track strategic initiatives, ensuring delivery of outcomes
- Lead and manage the end-to-end reporting processes including pipeline, revenue, financial performance, headcount, and transformation progress
- Own the development and ongoing tracking of KPIs to assess the performance and effectiveness of HIF&S operations
- Support business planning, cost monitoring, and forecasting to inform strategic decisions and identify efficiency opportunities
- Conduct in-depth analysis on business trends, performance metrics, and market opportunities to support senior decision-making
- Assist in business reviews, internal forums, and executive committees through well-structured decks and insightful commentary
- Proactively identify areas for improvement and operational efficiency and partner with global business teams and functions (e.g., CIB COO, Finance, HR, Risk, Compliance) to support delivery of HIF objectives
- Own and manage end-to-end data collation and reporting processes across HIF (e.g., pipeline tracking, performance metrics, headcount analysis and dashboards) and manage any escalations
- Support SFT League Table submissions, Pipeline reporting and reconciliation for ASP ensuring compliance with internal policies
- Support transformation initiatives by coordinating project timelines, action trackers, and working with cross-functional teams
- Prepare briefing materials and documentation for various forums and leadership reviews
- Ability to multi-task: Proactively discuss with project teams, prioritise and schedule time effectively
- Support Ad hoc requests on queries, data requests, issue resolution, and internal presentations
- Support HIF&S COO and ASP business heads across IF, EF and SFT including but not limited to business initiatives, internal management, external engagement and business development
To be successful you will need:
- Strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills across geographies
- Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deliverables under tight timelines
- Prior exposure to infrastructure finance, export finance, or sustainability initiatives is a strong advantage
- A strong understanding of the financial markets, including an understanding of HSBC Group and products
- High levels of motivation and strong work ethic, underpinned by an interest and passion for the sector
- Strong organisational and project management skills, with ability to multitask
- Excellent MS Excel and PowerPoint skills; experience with data visualization or automation tools is a plus
- Strong attention to detail, ability to handle ambiguity, and collaborative mindset
- 4–6 years of experience in business management, transformation, COO functions, or strategy roles in banking, consulting, or large corporates
- Master's degree in business, Finance, Economics, or a related field. MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred
