We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as an Alts Business Transformation, Business Architect.

In this role you will:

  • Define, implement and maintain the target state business and technology architecture for the Alternatives business
  • Translate business strategy into actionable architectural roadmaps and solution designs aligned with HSBC Group standards
  • Align architecture strategy with global Asset Management objectives and business growth plans
  • Identify opportunities for innovation, automation, and efficiency improvements across the Alternatives operating model
  • Influence senior management by articulating architecture vision and demonstrating alignment to business value and regulatory requirements
  • Provide thought leadership in Alternatives architecture and mentor junior team members on best practices in business solution design
  • Ensure solution designs are scalable, cost-effective, and compliant with HSBC’s technology and data governance frameworks

To be successful you will need:

  • Experience in Asset Management or Alternatives with deep understanding of private markets (private equity, private credit, real assets, hedge funds)
  • Proven experience as a Business or Solutions Architect within financial services or investment management within a top-tier investment bank, asset manager, or alternatives-focused financial institution
  • Strong understanding of data architecture, including data lineage, data flows, integration, and governance
  • Exposure to front-to-back operating models in Alternatives, with hands-on experience with leading alternatives asset management platforms (e.g., Allvue, eFront, Arcesium, SimCorp, BlackRock Aladdin, Investran, or similar)
  • Experience with emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, and blockchain in alternatives context
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business vision into technical and operational execution
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across business and technology teamsStrong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work effectively across regions and time zones in a matrixed organization
