Role purpose

  • Support the Centre Director/ Head of Site with driving the execution of group strategy across the business services for the site.
  • Lead and manage the site administration including oversight of the HSBC facilities, security, entity risks and drives required enhancements projects with enabling functions support.
  • Work closely with the site enabling/functional teams (and not limited to) like BCIM, HR, IT, FM, PS & Finance
  • Overlook and accountable for Transport, Procurement & Site Management financials and expanses including the spends of Committees.
  • Closely engaged with Operations and Department heads across transformation projects and saves

Governance and Committee Memberships

  • Ensure that the entity governance in line with HSBC Global Standards and compliance with the local country regulatory requirements.
  • Work closely with Business Managers and Finance Controllers in managing the P&L for the Site.
  • Maintain cost discipline, rationalize, and consolidate expenses related to all departments within Support Functions and ensure these are within the approved FRP and stretch targets.
  • Events Management – Governance of various activities including CS and site level Staff recognition programs.
  • Proactive identification of issues and initiation of structured discussions with the key stakeholders
  • Support regulatory activities and programs.
  • Supplier management skills, knowledge of HSBC and risk management to manage and improve compliance to third party risk management framework.
  • Maintain oversight for staff transport and manage any other issues related therewith.

Principal Accountabilities and Responsibilities

  • Act as single point of contact in-between the Business Managers and the Centre Director and coordinate projects/initiatives as per the requirement.
  • Effectively manage material operational risk, financial crime risk, conduct outcomes, and global compliance standards - especially considering substantive growth and transformation plans.
  • Secondary point of accountability for carrying the legal Risk in case of any breach.
  • Provide guidance and advice to the Centre Director/Head of Sites with any BWOT related initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Centre Directors in managing Senior leadership visits / offsites not only from a logistics point of view, but also in profiling the GSC appropriately.
  • Facilitate and manage senior business stakeholders; partnering effectively to improve customer experience and increase value to our stakeholders.
  • Drive people engagement, talent development, & continued diversity at a time of substantial change.
  • Responsible for managing Global Operation’s supplier engagements, understanding their performance, the business strategy, and requirements to drive maximum leverage and opportunity commercially for HSBC.
  • Collaborate with Procurement throughout the source-to-contract process to ensure that all appropriate sourcing strategies are adopted.
  • Proactively generates opportunities for cost reduction and value creation for HSBC’s key supplier engagements.
  • Communication – developing and executing communication plans.
