The Mortgage Loan Delivery Specialist will be responsible for facilitating delivery of loan level collateral for retention to the custodian for both Portfolio and GSE loans and ensuring the physical and technology delivery of loans to investors to support Secondary Marketing trader commitments.

 

As our Mortgage Loan Delivery Specialist, you will:

  • Ensure GSE loan deliveries are completed accurately
  • Coordinate validation of documents delivered to the custodian Bank of New York Mellon
  • Develop key relationships with Post Closing, Secondary Marketing, Loan Level, Accounting, Mortgage Servicing Oversight, GSE Account Executives, DMI management and Mortgage Originations teams (Processing, Underwriting, Vendor Management)
  • Work with Quality Control Management to ensure GSE exceptions are self-reported
  • Complete collateral (note) review for salability and verify MERS registration
  • Handle functions and regulations related to post closing, including post-closing checklist review for closing document and disclosure accuracy, as well as follow-up for corrections and trailing documents Work with Post Closing team to perfect document quality
  • Cross train with other teams to offer support when required

The final fixed pay offer will depend on the candidate and a few variables, including but not limited to, role responsibilities, skill set, depth of experience and education, licensing/certification requirements, internal relativity, and specific work location.

You´ll likely have the following qualifications to succeed in this role:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, related field and/or equivalent experience
  • Strong experience in Loan Delivery, Post Closing, Quality Control or Closing with proficient knowledge of mortgage documents
  • Knowledge of Mortgage systems (both LOS and Image)
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
  • Proven communication, organizational, analytical, administrative, problem solving and project management skills
  • Ability to effectively multitask as priorities change
  • Ability to meet project deadlines and objectives independently and within the team
  • Ensure compliance with operational risk controls in accordance with HSBC or regulatory standards and policies
  • Optimize relations with regulators by addressing issues timely
  • Remediate audit findings and regulatory Matters Requiring Attention (MRAs)
  • Ensure compliance with Consent Orders
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds easily and safely.   Ability to physically move and shift large files within filing cabinets. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential duties
  • Ability to work in the office five (5) days per week
