The Mortgage Accounting Specialist will be responsible to complete abroad range of complex funding, operational processing and customer service-related issues.
As our Mortgage Accounting Specialist, you will:
- Resolve unusual issues while investigating their source to minimize or eliminate future occurrences
- Ensure required accounting and internal/external regulatory processes are adhered to and required reporting is completed efficiently and accurately with proper documentation for review on a timely basis
- Maintain appropriate records of activity and assist in development and maintenance of procedural manuals and/or updates to mainframe funding system
You’ll likely have the following qualifications to succeed in this role:
- Funding experience as well as knowledge of Mortgage systems
- Bank, mortgage business, mortgage systems related experience or equivalent
- Minimum of bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, related field or equivalent experience
- Communications, organizational, analytical, administrative, problem-solving, project management and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with personal computers as well as pertinent HSBC systems and software
- Ability to meet deadlines and objectives independently and within the team

The final fixed pay offer will depend on the candidate and a number of variables, including but not limited to, role responsibilities, skill set, depth of experience and education, licensing/certification requirements, internal relativity, and specific work location.
