As a Lead Senior Manager, you will play a pivotal role in strengthening HSBC’s risk and control environment relating to management information, bringing a strategic, commercially aware mindset with a strong risk lens. You will drive, design, advise, and govern management information around control activities, ensuring robust, accurate, and consistently applied frameworks, policies, and procedures.

You will translate complex priorities, data, and opportunities into structured plans and measurable outcomes, supported by a well-articulated value and benefits case. Working closely with risk, business, and infrastructure teams, you will provide credible challenge and embed best practices.  

As our Lead Senior Manager Management Information & Reporting, you will:

  • Establish and maintain MI standards, definitions, and governance to ensure integrity and auditability
  • Drive the design, implementation, and ongoing governance of management information for control activities, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and appropriate oversight
  • Develop and maintain an effective operating rhythm (forums, packs, dashboards, and escalation routes) that supports timely, informed decision-making
  • Identify opportunities to simplify, automate, and enhance MI production, distribution, value inclusive of complex data ensuring value, efficiency, transparency, and results
  • Own and drive the quality of MI outputs, identifying trends, anomalies, and emerging risks; ensuring insights are translated into clear actions and ownership
  • Translate strategic priorities into structured delivery plans with milestones, measurable outcomes, and benefits realization; maintain clear governance and reporting on progress
  • Partner with Risk, Compliance, business, and infrastructure teams to embed best practice and ensure alignment to relevant frameworks, policies, and procedures
  • Manage dependencies across multiple data demands, ensuring delivery remains aligned, prioritized, and resilient
  • Maintain awareness of regulatory and commercial expectations and industry developments relevant to MI, controls, and reporting; ensure timely incorporation into approach and standards
  • Promote a strong risk and control culture through clear expectations, constructive challenge, and role-modelling of disciplined execution

You´ll likely have the following skills to succeed in this role:

  • Proven experience in driving, designing, governing, and improving management information within a risk and control environment, including the ability to define standards, benefits, and operating cadence across complex data
  • Proven track record of operating effectively in a dynamic environment, taking ownership, applying sound judgment, and maintaining delivery discipline and engagement under pressure
  • Proven ability to be a self-starter with energy and drive
  • Strong understanding of risk management and control frameworks within a regulated financial services environment
  • Demonstrable capability to review, challenge, and orchestrate a MI strategy to drive insight-led value-based decision-making, prioritization, escalation and/or measurable outcomes
  • Experience translating complex priorities, data, and opportunities into structured value outcomes, applying a commercial mindset with a strong risk lens
  • Proven ability to lead through influence across Risk, Compliance, business, and infrastructure teams, including across multiple sites and senior stakeholder groups
  • Strong analytical capability, with experience improving data quality, reducing data complexity, defining key metrics (KPIs/KRIs), and strengthening data ownership, stewardship, and value
  • Experienced in driving continuous improvement, simplification, and building requirements for automation of MI and reporting processes (e.g., dashboarding, workflow, and control evidence management)
  • Advanced analytical skills, including expertise in Excel and familiarity with control libraries and performance analytics
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and credibly to senior stakeholders
  • Experience or interest in GenAI applications is advantageous

Your final fixed pay offer will depend on the candidate and several variables, including but not limited to, role responsibilities, skill set, depth of experience and education, licensing/certification requirements, internal relativity, and specific work location.
