The US and CA Technology CIB (Corporate and Institutional Banking) and Core Banking Lead role is accountable to the CIO US Technology for ensuring effective delivery of IT services in the region.
They are the primary relationship owner with the regional business for Wholesale and MSS (Markets and Securities Services); acting as a trusted advisor offering advice/support to Corporate & Institutional Banking Regional Business, Regional CIOs, and MSS and Wholesale COOs to define and assure the regional CIB Technology portfolio and IT service.
They are accountable for managing effective relationships with regulators and for participating in regulatory meetings as the regional representative of the global technology function.
As our US & CA Technology CIB and Core Banking Lead you will:
- Responsible for providing support to Regional CIO on matters relating to relevant regulatory and Board relationships at regional level
- Responsible for supporting regulatory examinations and queries providing information required by regulators
- Responsible for providing CIB IT representation and materials at monthly regulatory forums
- Responsible for delivery of CIB IT Transformation, Agile, and DevOps adoption in region to realize savings as per targets in partnership with CIB US Business
- Responsible for ensuring adherence to the principles defined in the regional IT location strategy
- Responsible for ensuring deliverables are supportive and in compliance with Regional and CIB target state architecture
- Responsible for collaborating with peer Regional Heads, CIB Business, and other senior IT Personnel to implement CIB goals in region within entity, policy, expense, and regulatory constraints, in line with Technology strategy, priorities, and budgets
- Responsible for defining & driving IT aspects of the regional business operating model
- Responsible for ensuring that all regional demand is captured and effectively prioritized within the CIB global portfolio as part of the annual planning cycle
- Responsible for leading and influencing the CIB IT Team to meet functional goals in the region, and oversee delivery of the portfolio to time, cost, and quality targets
- Act as point of escalation for regional stakeholders on issues and/or CIB IT strategy/ deliveries/ performance/ processes; inform and support asset-class-heads/global leads with issues arising from regional stakeholders
- Responsible for governing all CIB program, portfolio in region ensuring the status and impacts to time, cost and quality are reported into all regions and countries
- Responsible for successful delivery of key CIB change programs in region
- Responsible for providing delivery assurance for CIB services in region and DevOps teams
- Responsible for escalating control weaknesses and gaps to Risk Owner(s)
- Responsible for escalating events, near misses, control failures to the impacted Risk Owner and/or Business Service Owner
- Responsible for coordinating regional activities required to mitigate service issues
- Responsible for service performance of end-to-end services delivered within the region (e.g. service SLA, MTTR, etc.)
- Responsible for driving implementation, governing risk responsibly, promoting ethical management of risks, communicating changes in policy and governance effectively, and ensuring in country regulatory processes and procedures are followed
- Manage relationships at a senior level with the wider Technology team; as well as engaging and managing relationships with third party suppliers
- Responsible for driving the regional people agenda ensuring strong employee engagement and speak-up culture
- Develop and execute a regional CIB Tech communications strategy
- Manage all entity aspects of the regional CIB Tech team
- Responsible for Tech cost oversight and transparency for regional stakeholders ensuring appropriate costs are being charged to the regional business
- Responsible for managing the regional allocation of the global budget to regions for all programs

Your final fixed pay offer will depend on the candidate and several variables, including but not limited to, role responsibilities, skill set, depth of experience and education, licensing/certification requirements, internal relativity, and specific work location.
