We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Data Management Lead

This is a global role involving multiple LOB’s and Regions. The data function is supporting several hundred analytics professionals engaged in reporting, modelling, analytics, and data manipulation. As a result, there are significant data challenges and opportunities relating to data, analytics, modelling, and machine learning. There is an opportunity to shape the BCBS data delivery strategy for WPB Risk. Hybrid working environment with focus on delivery.

In this role, you will:

 

  • Drive the data strategy to implement consistent production of BCBS metrics across lines of business
  • Implement optimum data risk controls and governance required for data consumed by the Risk Reporting processes
  • Close engagement with risk users to identify and to remediate the data issues.
  • Close engagement with business stakeholders, demonstrating knowledge of their data and controls landscape
  • Work in close partnership with Technology, DAO, Architecture and Business teams to deliver on key outcomes
  • Work in close partnership with data risk policy stakeholders within group

 


To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

•Familiarity with financial services organisations and more specifically HSBC’s structures, values, behaviours, processes and objectives.
•Experience in handling large volume of data with WPB retail products data experience is preferred
•Experience in working with large data transformation projects is preferable.
•Experience in the implementation of BCBS239 regulation
•Hands on experience in data analysis is mandatory.

•Experience in managing stakeholders/users across regions/markets.


This role is based in Leeds, Sheffield, Birmingham, Chester, Edinburgh.
