Our Wealth and Personal Banking business supports millions of individuals, families, business owners, investors and entrepreneurs worldwide. We provide products and services that include current accounts, credit cards, personal loans and mortgages, as well as savings, investments, insurance and wealth management. We also have specialised relationship managers who support customers with bespoke requirements, including high net worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients.

 

In this role you will support with a clear communication of the Customer Channels story – grounded in our WPB strategy and business priorities.

In this role you will:

• Support the strategic storytelling across all internal stakeholder groups ensuring all communication is consistent and all colleagues understand and engage with our purpose and strategy

• Build and deliver high profile content and communications on behalf of The Customer Channels Business, and in particular, for our Managing Director for UK Channels

• Work closely with internal stakeholders across Customer Channels, Comms, Brand & Marketing to ensure messaging is strategically aligned using existing and new channels

• Co-ordinate key Channels events and own the building of content for townhall sessions, ensuring strategic alignment

• Consult with Channels leaders supporting and challenging as required to ensure their approach to local comms is aligned with our strategic approach

 

 

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

 

• Experience delivering communications across business area to large scale audience, including frontline colleagues

• Ability to work with senior stakeholders and external parties

• Experience in planning and delivering events

• Colleague engagement skills

- Able to engage people and ensure the correct message is crafted

- Strong negotiating and influencing skills, and is comfortable working with senior stakeholders

- Flexible with travel, for this role we will expect successful candidate to be able to spend 1-2 days a week in London.

- Able to communicate clearly across a range of media (we use Sharepoint, Poppulo, LinkedIn, MS Office)

- With demonstrable amount of expertise and experience in a communications experience.

- CIPR and Institute of Internal Comms preferred but not a necessity

 

This role is based in any of our key strategic locations ( Birmingham, Leeds, Hamilton, Chester, Sheffield, Whiteley). With regular travel to London required. This will be a full-time hybrid role with 3 days in the office and the rest remote.
