Real Estate Services plays a vital role in supporting the Bank’s strategy through innovative initiatives across workplace strategy, facilities management, health & safety, sustainability, retail, and risk management.
Role Purpose:
The role is responsible for managing the full vendor lifecycle across ~1,000 Real Estate Services (RES) vendors, supporting Workplace Experience, Operations, Design & Construction, and Portfolio Management.
Working closely with senior Real Estate, Procurement, regional, and cross-functional stakeholders (e.g., Risk, Legal), the role provides leadership in vendor and third-party operational and commercial management.
In this role you will
- Lead a team of supplier, contract, and cost management professionals.
- Ensure consistency across all vendor, third-party, and contract processes.
- Oversee global supplier performance and addressing issues proactively.
- Partner with Procurement and Infrastructure to drive performance improvements.
- Support RES teams with vendor strategy and best practices.
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements
- Deep expertise in Real Estate Services, contracts, and commercial administration in a global context
- Strong background in contracts, procurement, supplier management, high-risk contracts.
- Experience with third-party and supplier risk management, particularly within HSBC’s internal procurement processes
- Proven ability to lead new supplier management processes and leverage strong internal networks
- Familiarity with tools and systems used in supplier management
- SEEPs or equivalent procurement knowledge; strong experience in commerce and contracting
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, relationship-building, and negotiation skills
- Skilled in managing priorities, ambiguity, and complex projects with a commercial mindset
The role is based in Birmingham, UK Hybrid.
