We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Procurement Sourcing

Dynamic and proactive, Global Procurement delivers tangible commercial value for HSBC. The remit spans all aspects of the procurement lifecycle worldwide, from leading relationships with suppliers, to ensuring alignment across spending plans. Highly engaged with the business, Procurement specialists develop deep strategic understanding. This leads to stronger approaches to measuring success, and ultimately ensures the Group operates ever more effectively.

In this role, you will:

 

  • Deliver Strategic Value – Lead sourcing projects across diverse categories, including outsourcing initiatives, to drive efficiency and business benefits.
  • Negotiate with Impact – Structure, scope and close complex, high-value deals while effectively managing commercial risks.
  • Translate Insights – Analyse procurement and market data, and transform it into clear, compelling presentations for senior stakeholders.
  • Engage and Influence – Build strong relationships with stakeholders, challenge demand, and align global category strategies.
  • Adapt with Agility – Balance multiple priorities across categories in a fast-paced global environment, pivoting as business needs evolve.

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

 

  • Procurement Expertise – Experience managing the full procurement lifecycle, including outsourcing projects.
  • Commercial Acumen – Strong understanding of market dynamics, with proven ability to deliver competitive and innovative outcomes.
  • Communication Skills – Ability to present complex data in a simple, engaging way tailored to senior audiences.
  • Stakeholder Management – Skilled at influencing and collaborating effectively across global teams and multiple layers of the organisation.
  • Change Leadership – Comfortable leading transformation initiatives and driving adoption of new sourcing approaches.
