The UK commercial brokerage team is a newly formed business focussed on establishing commercial relationships with intermediaries operating primarily within the SME market.
The Relationship Management role provides dedicated relationship management with accountability for sales, service, risk and operational delivery. Relationship Managers may be located in fields of Business Banking, Commercial Banking, Global Banking, Private Banking or Product Sales.
We are looking for an individual to join our team in the role of New Business Team Relationship Manager.
In this role you will:
- Cultivate and manage relationships with brokers and other introducers to drive business opportunities.
- Use your credit analysis skills to deliver appropriate commercial lending solutions off the back of broker led introductions.
- Collaborate with internal teams & stakeholders to ensure timely issuance of credit approved terms and seamless onboarding of clients introduced by brokers.
- Build a strong understanding of the client’s business and industry to promote insights, enrich client conversations and deliver fair outcomes by treating customers fairly.
- Ensure adherence to all applicable operational risk HSBC Standards and policies, reporting any breaches in accordance with local procedures.
The successful candidate for this role will have:
- Experience with commercial lending, Business Development, Business Banking and credit analysis.
- Influencing skills and the ability to build positive working relationships with our customers, colleagues and stakeholders.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, enabling productive dialogue with internal and external customers.
- The ability to gather, analyse and interpret comprehensive information and/or customer requirements in order to provide solutions that are commercially viable and sustainable.
- The ability to anticipate and identify risks and ensures appropriate steps are taken to mitigate and manage them.
This role is a hybrid position. The base location for this role is open to applicants across the UK, provided they have a local office or Commercial Centre, from which they can work for part of their working week.
