Our Risk and Compliance function has a critical role to play in supporting, challenging and advising across all areas of the business through establishing policy, monitoring profiles, and identifying and managing forward-looking risk and compliance. In this role, you will:
- Evaluate, recommend and approve transactions and annual reviews within personal approval authority.
- Ensure prudent and well-structured credit proposals to reduce credit losses.
- Be responsible for implementing Risk credit risk policies, procedures and standards
- Assist the Senior Risk Officer by assessing the credit quality of the allocated portfolio; managing and improving the risk profilethe
- Supports the growth agenda within the Social Housing sector.
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
- Proven commercial credit skills with both complex transactional and credit process management experience is essential for this role.
- Experience in Real Estate lending is preferred.
- A sound understanding of the Economic landscape and the ability to identify/translate any potential risks associated with this.
- General knowledge of law, accounting, and regulatory requirements.
- Strong communication skills – verbal and written with the ability to simplify complex information and convey it clearly is essential.
- Management and Leadership skills with experience of liaising with senior stakeholders. This will be required when communicating findings related to credit risk.
This role is based in Birmingham.
