The role of Head of Property Change Execution sits in the COO function, and oversees strategic initiatives to improve HBUK property portfolio, by leading projects, driving change, managing Capital budgets of $50m+ and working with stakeholders both internal and external.

In this role, you will:

  • Develop Transformation plans for HSBC UK branches including direction on lease renewals and location strategy to align with organisational goals.
  • Design and lead the execution of change and implementation approaches in close partnership with customer channels teams to facilitate a successful activation of property changes.
  • Act as an SME for customer channels in the design and execution of property changes.
  • Lead and manage organisational change efforts, helping to embed new ways of working including processes, technologies within the property function.
  • Act as a central point of contact, communicating effectively with and managing expectations of stakeholders across the organisation as well as external contract stakeholders and contractors.
  • Proactively identify, assess and mitigate project risks and issues to ensure successful delivery
  • Track and manage significant project budgets, ensuring correct levels of financial sign off and effective allocation of project resource.
  • Lead and support multi-disciplinary project teams, fostering collaboration and ensuring clear communication whether written or verbally.
  • Identify opportunities for process optimisation and improvement within the function.

 

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

  • Project Management skills with proven ability in delivering complex projects end to end
  • Previous leadership experience/managing a team
  • Experience dealing with third parties is essential
  • Previous experience in property services is essential
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills at all levels of the organisation and the ability to build strong relationships through influencing skills and storytelling.
  • Ability to translate strategic objectives into actionable plans and make sound decisions.
  • Knowledge of identifying, measuring and controlling project risks.
  • Confidence with technology and digital skills especially those in Project Management
  • Work with multi-disciplinary teams, mitigating risks and ensuring projects deliver strategic objectives and are value for money
  • Ability to work on multiple complex programmes concurrently and manage time effectively – execution focused.

 

This is a Hybrid role based in either Birmingham, Leeds, Chester or Sheffield
