HSBC GTS is a global core product and solutions capability for the UK Ringfenced Bank (RFB) and Corporate and Institutional Banking (CIB) across HSBC globally. We are currently seeking an experienced individual to take up the new role of Regional Head of GTS Product Risk, UK. This is a national role reporting to the Head of GTS UK.
In this role, you will:
- Form part of the GTS UK and the GTS Global Risk leadership teams and will be operating in a fast-paced and rapidly evolving environment.
- Be the first port of call for all first line risk management matters in GTS for the region whether financial or non-financial risk related, providing leadership across transaction risk management, and all financial and non-financial risk types. This includes but is not limited to the business-operated controls which mitigate credit risk, and the key non-financial risks (financial crime, regulatory risk, legal, resilience, people, model and accounting & tax risks).
- Lead a large, specialized and multidisciplinary risk management team across the UK, both the RFB and Non-RFB businesses. The role encompasses the management of all areas of GTS Product Risk including GTS Non-Financial Risk, Transaction Risk Management and Quality Assurance.
- Bring together the RFB and Non-RFB risk management teams into one consolidated GTS UK Product risk team.
- Work across legal entities, departments and multiple stakeholders within GTS and the wider CIB environment to deliver effective risk mitigation, and maximize portfolio returns across the GTS suite of products through management of risks and losses.
- Be responsible for ensuring the alignment of portfolio risk appetite to the risk appetite of the business. This will be achieved through the development and implementation of portfolio risk governance framework to monitor and manage existing GTS risk exposures given the increased risk and complexity in providing new propositions across complex global markets.
- Play a critical role in helping to develop new products and propositions, in conjunction with the GTS P&P team.
- Lead the end to end Operational Risk Programme across GTS UK and provide leadership and oversight of the GTS Controls Office.
- As a member of the GTS Global Product Risk Senior Leadership Team, play a key role in global risk strategy and implementation, collaborating to build out our Centre of Excellence capabilities.
- As Business Service Owner Delegate for the GTS Important Business Service, Manage and Modify Receivables Finance, lead operational resilience for GTS UK to ensure continuity of service for our customers.
