Our Wealth and Personal Banking business supports millions of individuals, families, business owners, investors, and entrepreneurs worldwide. We provide products and services that include current accounts, credit cards, personal loans, and mortgages, as well as savings, investments, insurance and wealth management. We also have specialised relationship managers who support customers with bespoke requirements, including high net worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients.

The UK Marketing function is focused on supporting the strategic and revenue growth priorities of the Bank by delivering Fair outcomes for customers. The function focuses on understanding customers and the identification, development and execution of brand marketing strategies, campaigns and activities that support and strengthen the HSBC brand, support the drive for revenue and increase customer value and satisfaction in order to meet agreed targets and objectives at market level.

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Head of Creative Services

In this role you will:

  • Define and lead the creative vision for HSBC UK, aligned with brand strategy and business goals - building a first class in-house creative services function.
  • Support in recruiting, developing and retaining top creative talent – identifying the core skills of the future and building exceptional, in-house capability.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performing team culture - working in close partnership with Group Brand teams and our external creative partner agencies
  • Oversee the development and delivery of marketing campaigns – delivering a step change in our creative output whilst ensuring through the line integration, quality and effectiveness.
  • Lead the Creative Services team
  • Deliver end to end Creative Services for all UK brands– on time and on budget, responding to business briefs and establishing clear objectives for each campaign

 

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

  • Demonstrable experience in creative leadership roles within a regulated environment ideally in house or agency.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing a range of campaigns and brand work – FS desirable but not essential
  • Proven experience managing creative teams, across multiple brands and executing cross functional projects
  • Deep understanding of design principles, UX/UI, storytelling and content creation
  • Passionate about customers and delivering against customer needs
  • Ability to connect marketing solutions to the needs and goals of the business
  • A flexible and adaptable management style with experience of developing yourself and others
  • Strong written and spoken communication skills; an ability to communicate with impact to wide and varied audiences. Built effective networks across business areas, developing relationships based on mutual trust and encouraging others to do the same.

 

This role is based in Birmingham with ad-hoc travel to London as required. This is a full-time hybrid role.
