We have an exciting opportunity for a Head of Region, Mortgage Intermediaries. You will deliver HSBC’s Intermediaries mortgage growth ambitions through the development and leveraging of quality, meaningful relationships with selected partners at national, regional, local and consultant level. You will lead, manage and coach a team of Business Development Managers and contribute to the wider Intermediary channel success through collaboration with Heads of Region, the Corporate Account Team, Broker Support, Broker Operations and Marketing.

In this role you will:
- Maintain a detailed knowledge of HSBC mortgage products, policy and processes supported through strong internal relationships especially with the Corporate operational areas: underwriting Services, Complex Underwriting and Mortgage Services.
- Lead and develop a team of 9 Business Development Managers to ensure they are well equipped to deliver world class service to our Intermediary partners.
- Maintain a detailed knowledge of the your partners business, including business strategy, structure, business written, customer base profile, distribution strategy, and competitor relationships
- Work closely with the Corporate team to maximise opportunities identified at firm level
- Monitor progress against business objectives, re-evaluating Regional Plans, agreeing and implementing remedial activity as required.
- Identify and deliver opportunities to broaden the relationship/ product portfolio, maximise potential, and add value to all parties.
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
- In depth knowledge and experience of working in the Mortgage Intermediary market
- Experience of managing or leading a team and always proactively looking for innovative ways to improve the service delivered to their brokers
- Exposure to business development / sales
- A track record of delivering significant change which improves business effectiveness in sustainable ways
- Set and achieve challenging short, medium and long term goals which exceeded the standards in their field
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills; an ability to communicate with impact, ensuring complex information is articulated in a meaningful way to wide and varied audiences
Ideally based in the Midlands but flexibility for the right candidate. Travel 3 days a week, covering a large patch. Company car provided
