This is an exciting opportunity to join HSBC as a senior Regulatory Compliance leader responsible for overseeing compliance across Transactional Banking and Premier within RBW, as well as Supported Banking in HBUK. The successful candidate will lead a team of and will provide expert advice and constructive challenge to UK business lines to ensure adherence to regulatory standards, policies and controls.

In this role you will:
- Manage a team of Second Line of Defence Regulatory Compliance officers covering Transactional Banking and Premier in RBW and Supported Banking within HBUK.
- Represent Regulatory Compliance in key Lines of Business governance, project and team meetings.
- Provide timely and constructive advice and challenge to First Line of Defence stakeholders on Regulatory Compliance risks and issues.
- Represent Regulatory Compliance and HSBC in external engagements with Regulators and Industry Associations.
- Identify, assess, report and escalate Compliance risks in HBUK by executing the HSBC Risk Management Framework.
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
- Strong experience in Regulatory Compliance with thorough understanding of risks and issues including industry / regulatory trends, priorities and practices.
- Excellent stakeholder management with proven ability to influence and attain buy-in.
- Proven ability to lead and manage teams in a fast-changing environment.
- Knowledge of Consumer Duty and BCOBS.
- Excellent knowledge of Retail Banking including knowledge of it’s products and channels gained through Retail Banking experience or FCA experience covering Retail Banks.
This role can be based in Birmingham, Sheffield, Leeds or Southampton on a hybrid working basis (three days per week).
