We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Deputy Head of Communications, CMB UK.

In this role you will:

 

•Shape and oversee for the execution of a cohesive media relations and employee communication strategy for CMB UK, driving engagement with colleagues and media on areas of strategic focus.

•Support the Head of Communications, HSBC UK and CMB UK, in advising CMB UK OpCo on communications strategy and issues management.

•Work closely with the UK Head of Corporate Media and Executive Communications to implement communications strategies supporting CMB UK business priorities, and help activate relevant global campaigns, including with Corporate and Institutional Banking (CIB).

•Work closely with HBUK heads of communications to support the creation of a common identity for HSBC UK and advise on activities to support the positioning of the brand with CMB employees and media stakeholders.

•Collaborate effectively with functional partners, notably in Communications Business and Markets (CBAM), People, Governance and Communications (PG&C) and Group External Communications (GEC) and Marketing to coordinate the planning and delivery of relevant activity and campaigns.

 

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

 

•Previous Internal and External Comms experience is an essential to be considered.

•Previous experience of managing people and teams, in particular managing individuals that manage teams.

•Demonstrate a strong understanding of the UK media landscape in order to identify external opportunities and risks to CMB UK.

•Exceptional Stakeholder management skills at Senior level.

•Proven track record in reputation management and successfully developing and implementing effective communications strategies.

•Analytical, financially numerate and commercially aware.

 

This role is based in Birmingham, Hybrid.
