We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Display and Programmatic Manager
As part of the UK Marketing function, the Paid Media team is the centre of excellence supporting all the UK units of the bank (HSBC, First Direct, M&S Bank, Commercial Bank), using digital channels to drive customer applications and sales across a wide range of products – primarily credit cards, loans, current accounts, insurance and mortgages. The team manages campaigns across display, paid search, paid social and affiliate channels and works closely with the Digital team who lead on website optimisation, analytics, and journey optimisation.
This is a pivotal role responsible for managing and optimising end-to-end display and programmatic campaigns to drive performance and support our wider acquisition and brand objectives. You will work closely with internal channel specialists, creative teams, and media agencies to deliver data-led campaigns across multiple platforms

In this role you will:
- Plan, execute, and optimise display and programmatic campaigns across upper and lower funnel objectives.
- Manage day-to-day relationships with DSPs, trading desks, and media partners.
- Oversee creative asset development to align with platform specifications and campaign goals.
- Implement audience segmentation, data overlays, and dynamic targeting strategies.
- Monitor pacing, budgets, and performance KPIs to ensure campaigns meet efficiency and volume targets.
- Collaborate with analytics and data teams to generate insights, test hypotheses, and support attribution modelling.
- Own regular reporting and present actionable insights to internal stakeholders.
- Ensure campaigns are compliant with privacy standards and platform policies.
- Stay on top of industry trends and emerging technologies, identifying new opportunities for growth and automation.
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
- Strong, proven experience in managing programmatic/display campaigns, ideally in a performance-focused environment, coupled with hands-on experience with DV360 or equivalent DSPs (e.g., Amazon DSP, The Trade Desk, , Flashtalking).
- Advanced knowledge of ad servers, MMPs, DSPs, SSP’s and familiarity with ad servers (e.g., Campaign Manager 360), brand lift tools, and measurement platforms.
- Strong understanding of audience targeting, bidding strategies, viewability, brand safety, and incrementality.
- Analytical mindset with proficiency in Excel/Sheets and dashboards (e.g., Looker Studio, GA4, Tableau etc).
- Collaborative approach with excellent communication skills and able to build effective relationships with external agencies
This is a hybrid role can be based in Birmingham or Leeds
