The Opportunity
Global Payments Solutions (GPS) is a global product line generating over 10% of Group revenues supporting Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB), International Mid-Market (IMM) and Global Network Banking (GNB). As Senior Sales Manager within GNB GPS Sales you’ll partner closely with CIB coverage bankers and wider GPS sales teams to deepen HSBC’s global cash management wallet share and grow revenues. The role focuses on multinational subsidiaries across five sectors - Consumer Brands/Retail, Energy Materials & Power, Healthcare, Technology/Media/Telecoms and Industrials & Transport. You’ll take a needs-based advisory approach to understand treasury priorities and shape cross-border cash management solutions across payments, liquidity and working capital. Success means building a strong deal pipeline, delivering high-quality proposals through to implementation handover and converting mandates into realized revenue. You’ll also share market and client insights with Product to inform enhancements that keep HSBC competitive in a fast-moving landscape.
What you'll be doing
- Partner with CIB coverage bankers and GPS sales teams to identify opportunities and deepen global cash management wallet share
- Define client engagement strategies that grow revenues across multinational subsidiary portfolios
- Apply a needs-based advisory approach to understand requirements and align appropriate cash management solutions
- Coordinate stakeholders across markets and functions to shape solutions from proposal and RFP through to implementation handover
- Manage delivery of sales proposals, RFP responses and client pitches with pace and attention to detail
- Collaborate with Implementation, Integration and Client Service teams to transition mandates into realized revenues and support evolving needs
- Provide feedback to GPS Product teams on competitive trends and client requirements to inform enhancements and developments
- Coach team members on sales strategy, pipeline management and sales conversion techniques
What we're looking for
- Demonstrate a proven track record working with complex global corporate clients
- Bring experience managing a client portfolio and accountability for P&L outcomes, cross-sell and customer satisfaction metrics
- Apply strong analytical skills to support pipeline development, prioritization and conversion
- Show a strong understanding of global cash management techniques and the regulatory environment and competitive landscape
- Apply detailed knowledge of corporate treasury operations including foreign exchange, payments, liquidity and working capital
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of cash management clearing services, products, techniques and strategies across local, regional and global contexts
- Bring experience managing large complex corporate relationships with a clear understanding of risk management, structures, credit and internal processes
- Show experience working in an international global banking environment or with HSBC Group products and services

Your final fixed pay offer will depend on the candidate and several variables, including but not limited to, role responsibilities, skill set, depth of experience and education, licensing/certification requirements, internal relativity, and specific work location.
