Global Payment Solutions (GPS) is made up of almost 10,000 colleagues across 58 countries and territories. This business is uniquely positioned to help clients make payments across borders, currencies and regulations, quickly and efficiently with dedicated in-country and regional support. We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team.

 

In this role, you will:

 

  • Lead GPS sales efforts for the key accounts of Global Corporates Clients with China headquarters.
  • Contribute as a senior individual sales manager, or potentially as the leader of the sales team.
  • Gain market share by proactively targeting and winning business from new clients and penetrating further into existing clients.
  • Support clients in evolving their treasury sophistication, offering scalable, modular solutions that can grow with their business needs across the treasury maturity curve.
  • Build deep client partnerships by serving as a trusted advisor, delivering market insights, treasury trends, and digital payment strategies aligned with their growth trajectory.
  • Understand market needs, identify potential opportunities and proactively participate in marketing and the product development cycle.
  • Partner closely with relationship bankers, product management, client service, and client connectivity teams to ensure seamless onboarding and execution of GPS solutions.
  • Promote HSBC’s profile and brand name in cash management business in the market.



 

To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:

 

•      Minimum 10 years’ experience in transaction banking, cash management, or payments, with experience in a sales leadership role will be a plus.

•      Strong knowledge and GPS solution experience.

•      Proven track record of team leadership from strategy to execution with solid deliverables.

•      Strong understanding of treasury operations and how they evolve as companies expand internationally, including common pain points, enablers, and scalability needs.

•      Good level of business acumen and commercial awareness, including economic, cultural, procedural and regulatory issues;

•      Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders;

•      Ability to understand customer business and the fundamentals of running a business.
