Principal responsibilities

  • Assisting the Investment Counsellors in engaging with clients and prospects of Global Private Bank.
  • Supporting Investment Counsellors with client related tasks such as  portfolio reviews, client meeting material preparing,  translations of marketing materials, investment product transaction handling.
  • Supporting Investment Counsellors with investment initiatives, including preparation of materials for product campaigns, switches, pitch book generation, portfolio optimisations.
  • Supporting Investment Counsellors with CIO market updates and house views on timely basis and provide clear tactical strategy  to Relationship Managers to enhance their functional competencies & professionalism.
  • Supporting Investment Counsellors to provide regular and timely feedback to product specialist team on customer acceptability on investment products.
  • Providing administrative assistance, such as meeting and business trip scheduling and organisation, preparation of Client Relationship Manager reports and campaign monitoring.
  • Full compliance with internal and external rules, regulations and procedures and adherence to HSBC values and Business Principles.
  • Other project or initiatives assigned by line manager.

Requirements 

  • Excellent organisation and communication skills.
  • Passion and interest in the financial markets.
  • Risk conscious, in particular on the trading side.
  • Dealing and trade execution experience preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills and multitasking abilities.
  • Team player, high achiever, quick to learn, detail oriented, positive attitude.
  • High level of professional and personal integrity.
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain quality of detailed work while meeting competing and inflexible deadlines.
  • University degree, minimum 4 years' experience as Investment Counsellor Analyst or Relationship Manager experience in foreign banks related to investment business.
  • AMAC qualification is a must, SAC qualification is a plus.
  • Fluent in both English and Chinese writing and speaking is a MUST.
  • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.
