Communications for Businesses and Markets (CBAM) is part of our People, Governance and Communications (PG&C) structure. This team designs and implements communications strategies to support HSBC’s business objectives in line with our values, and enhance / protect our reputation among key stakeholders.

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team.

In this role, you will:

•      Engage with state and local media in Beijing to reinforce HSBC's China messaging as well as global themes

•      Support Beijing Branch Manager in employee communications with advice and contents

•      Build strong relationships with local stakeholders in Beijing to understand communications needs

•      Use insights and feedback to inform planning and execution across external and internal channels

•      Plan and implement effective media and employee communications to support key stakeholders in Beijing and the North Region, among other projects as needed

•      Create editorial contents, in both Chinese and English, suitable for multiple channels

•      Works closely with the Communications team at head office to ensure plans and projects are integrated

•      Provide support to executives' media and employee engagements in Beijing and the North Region

•      Advise local stakeholders on reputational risk from a communications perspective and mitigate

To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:

•      A strong track record of media relations experience

•      Experience in managing multiple internal stakeholders

•      Ability to execute communications programmes to deliver desired outcomes

•      Strong verbal and written communications skills in English and Chinese

•      Strong event/project management skills

•      Experience in social media communications, video assets, creative design an advantage
