VP Fund Admin Operation

Principal responsibilities
- Leading and managing fund administration teams, including training, professional development, and performance management.
- Defining and implementing the operational strategy for fund administration, including optimizing processes, leveraging technology, and making decisions.
- Servicing as a point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries, and ensuring timely and efficient service delivery.
- Identifying areas for improvement in fund administration processes and implementing changes to enhance efficiency and quality.
- Ensuring that all funds adhere to relevant regulations and policies, including tax and compliance requirements.
- Overseeing the calculation of Net Asset Value (NAVs) and the preparation of the financial statements.
- Managing relationships with vendors and service providers, such as custodians and technology providers.
- Identifying and mitigating potential risks related to fund administration operations.
- Assisting with new fund launches, mergers, and other product lifecycle events.
- Managing budgets for headcount, technology, and other resources related to fund administration.
- Liaising with various stakeholders, including investment managers, brokers, custodians, and auditors.
- Ensuring that staff have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- To liaise with the regulators i.e. The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), The Association of Investment Management Companies (AIMC), The Bank of Thailand (BOT) and the Revenue Department to ensure the compliance of rules and regulations all the time.
Knowledge & Experience / Qualifications
- Completed bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in business, accounting, financing, MBA or related fields.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience working in a Fund industry.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to be flexible and work effectively both within a team structure or independently.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Good initiative coupled with the ability to identify when escalation is required.
- Reliable, flexible and dependable.
- Ability to positively influence team morale.
- Demonstrate leadership skills.
