Responsibilities:
IT Service Provision to CIB (Front – Back within Thailand)
- Partnering and advising CIB Heads and their Management Teams on technology decisions.
- Accountable for the delivery of IT Services to CIB.
- Accountable for the shaping, evaluation and value assessment of the overall Change Portfolio for CIB.
- Leading a team of IT specialists
- Ensure CIB Technology teams apply Group Standards
- Ensure Operational Risks and Controls are implemented and effective
- Drive innovation from a technological perspective within CIB
- Oversee system security and ensure that CIB is not exposed to critical risks from an IT point of view
- Record, build remediation plans and organise appropriate governance
- Ensure that all technology decisions align to appropriate governance and architecture Standards
- Review and maintain all systems to HSBC standards
- Finance and planning leads to budget for information technology needs and monitor/maintain this budget
- Establish relevant metrics to facilitate reporting and decision making
- Understand the local regulatory restrictions including the need for onshore systems due to personal data laws in country
Partnership with Business line (including Wholesale and banking businesses, Markets and Securities Services (MSS) in Thailand)
- Understanding the CIB business and technology strategy
- Translating the CIB business strategy into an IT strategy that enables business to realise its objectives
- Cultivate and maintain the relationship between CIB business and IT
- Advise the business heads on all technology related matters
- Partner with CIB business, Business managers, Global Asset class IT heads and Regional
Partnership with CIB Asia and Middle East CIO Management
- Responsible for providing support to Regional CIO when necessary, on matters relating to relevant regulatory and Board relationships at regional level
- Consulted on execution of GB/GI strategy at Thailand level
- Responsible for collaborating with peer Market Heads, GB/GI Business, and other senior IT Personnel to implement GB/GI goals in Thailand, policy, expense and regulatory constraints, in line with Technology strategy, priorities and budgets
- Responsible for leading and influencing the GB/GI IT Team to meet functional goals in the Thailand, and oversee delivery of the portfolio to time, cost, and quality targets
- Responsible for ensuring that all Thailand demand is captured and effectively prioritised within the GB/GI global portfolio
- Responsible for coordinating all Thailand input into the annual planning cycle
- Responsible for governing all GB/GI programme portfolio in Thailand ensuring the status and impacts to time, cost and quality are reported into CIB Asia & Middle East CIO
- Responsible for delivery of GB/GI IT Transformation, Agile and DevOps adoption in Thailand to realise savings as per targets in partnership with GB/GI Business
- Responsible for successful delivery of GB/GI change programmes in Thailand
- Responsible for ensuring deliverables are supportive and in compliance with Regional and GB/GI target state architecture
- Accountable to both Regional CIO and GB/GI CIO for ensuring resilient, high-quality services are being delivered within the Thailand
- Responsible for coordinating regional activities required to mitigate service issues
- Responsible for service performance of end-to-end services delivered within the Thailand (e.g. service SLA, MTTR, etc.)
- Consulted on delivery status of overall service/application health for Thailand owned applications, and expert advice provided/facilitated from wider GB/GI as necessary
- Consulted on status of issues relating to critical IT incidents for Thailand owned applications, and expert advice provided/facilitated from wider GB/GI as necessary
- Consulted on problem management and root cause analysis related to Thailand Owned Applications where applicable, and expert advice provided/facilitated from wider GB/GI as necessary

- Proven ability to articulate complex issues concisely, suitable for all levels across the HSBC group. Gravitas and ability to interact with and coach senior executives.

Functional Knowledge
- Practical experience in the leadership and management of an engineering function most focused on the delivery of operations technologies.
- Strong interpersonal skills – ability to influence, lead and drive teams to deliver. Demonstrate good judgement and a high level of communication skills to achieve effective stakeholder management.
- Knowledge of technology and technology trends, and the ability to provide technology consultancy to senior business heads Experience in planning and managing significant expenditure in a complex organisation.
- Knowledge and experiences on managing technology on payments and trade services.
