We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join Corporate & Institutional Banking team in Mumbai as Corporate & Institutional Banking Manager.
Principal Responsibilities
• Delivery of Revenue and manage Asset & Liability portfolio by generating new deals and run existing deals, get involved in structuring complex asset deals towards IVB clients.
• Through Innovation Banking, our international network offers comprehensive support and services to new age economy Tech clients and Global venture capital firms. From expanding overseas to managing the cash and trade flows and to providing bespoke credit solutions, the Innovation Banking team of Relationship Managers and Product Specialists provides a range of end-to-end solutions designed to help businesses reach their potential..
• Delivery of revenue and asset target(s) from existing portfolio of clients and the acquisition of new clients in a responsible manner and compliant with HSBC policies. (Clients to be covered will be from the IVB segment and based out of Mumbai, India).
• Clients covered under IVB Segment with Corporate & Institutional Banking are the startups including Unicorns, Soonicorns belonging to various sectors – Consumer Internet, SaaS, B2B, EV, Lending Tech, etc.
• Drive the relationship with various clients (including Founders, CXOs) covering as Regional Head West India and assist HSBC to attain its strategic growth targets.
• Work on marquee transactions on asset & liability side with specific focus on GTS, GPS, GM, ISV, DCM, ECM, Private Credit and other international subsidiary RMs for various txns in overseas sites.
• To participate in strategic decisions to drive the Innovation Banking business forward, with a strong focus on high value, quality customers and prospects
• To drive best practice in Transaction banking, Lending and risk policies ensuring this remains in line with economic and market practices.
• Assist the team to help the customer to draw on the HSBC group network by working closely with other Banking sites and product groups (GTS, Global markets, CMA and GPS).
• Owning customer engagement, always ensuring service excellence for all aspects of any customer, prospect or professional’s interaction with HSBC and to improve customer engagement.
• Optimizing the potential value and profitability of existing relationships by assisting in the delivery of solutions, products and services appropriate to meet customer need
• Drive the team in accordance with the overall strategic directions of the Bank and ensure compliance to internal and regulatory requirements on Relationship Management, Operations, Business development and credit Risk standards.
• Minimize credit and fraud loss by working closely with the Credit Risk team for credit proposal approvals/reviews credit assessments, and active management of critical relationships.
• Provide Strategic impetus towards the growth of Innovation Banking Business in the Region
Qualifications
• CA/MBA with relevant experience in client management and Corporate & Institutional Banking role as a GRM/RM.
• Ability to work on fast turnarounds, tight deadlines & handle competing priorities
• Ability to assess Credit risk and work experience in managing financial assessment for corporate clients.
• Experience in working with Tech enabled businesses and innovation banking domain is desirable.
• Driving a high-performance culture across the team delivering customer and financial objectives.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
Pro-tip : Familiarity with AI-enabled tools is an advantage.

- Mandatory to successfully complete Anti-Money Laundering and Sanctions training and post-course assessment, as required.
