We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Vendor and System Resilience Manager - Data Operations

 

In this role, you will:

  • The Vendor and System Resilience Manager role will be responsible for managing and tracking the performance of key Data Ops Vendors and producing MI for inclusion in the relevant governance forums.  The individual will act as an escalation point for Vendor operational issues and will track all remedial actions in order to ensure the actions are closed in a timely manner. 
  • The role also involves working with the Market Data services team to better understand consumer consumption patterns and cost save opportunities. The role will support Service Delivery, Product and Change teams in their efforts to automate current manually supported tasks as well as reviewing and understanding any data Vendor enhancements throughout the year.
  • Leading the VSR team to provide governance of all Data Ops third party relationships.  Representing HSBC when escalating issues to third party data providers.  Helping to minimize impact of any outages by keeping the Service delivery and consumers informed with clear communication and direction.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with Data Ops stakeholders, ensuring that all current and future service needs are identified and met Contract renewal overview and cost opportunity savings.
  • Support the management of Vendor production escalations to resolution. Identify and follow-up on actions. Arrange progress meetings with stakeholders and send effective communications as to status. Work with IT Support and Vendors to help resolve issues
  • Run regular reports to identify key issues/themes across providers/platforms, Lead regular, scheduled regional Vendor meetings.
  • Act as ‘gatekeeper’ for Vendor account information. Lead regular service reviews with our Vendors, including production of monthly Client scorecard for each.
  • Identify alerts that will impact stakeholders and flag as appropriate. Understand new products, enhancements coming from suppliers and work with Data Ops team to implement as appropriate. Partner with MDS on contract renewal confirmations / requirements

 

To be successful, you will:

  • Understanding of Market Data Management.
  • Knowledge and understanding of various Market Data Vendors.
  • Detailed knowledge of the operation of financial markets with specific emphasis on the characteristics of all investment instrument types, securities, and assets.
  • Excellent communications skills both written and verbal for discussions and communication at all levels.
  • Able to build strong relationships with other functions and business stakeholders, interfacing professionally and able to influence and negotiate at senior levels
  • Experience of external third-party liaison in a Business Analysis capacity
  • Self-starter, independent with good organisational skills
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment with proven ability to handle multiple projects at one time.
