We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Fund Administrator – Client Reporting.

In this role, you will:

  • Life Fund Accounting Team is required to provide the provision of monthly reports and data extracts to Insurance clients. The core deliverables include ledger feeds, valuation extracts and supplementary analysis to enable the client to complete statutory accounts and regulatory disclosures. Also required to oversee the entire monthly reporting process.
  • Prior to running the investment accounting reporting from Icon, pre-checks are performed to ensure any change activity around new transactions, new accounts or new funds are captured and included as expected within key reporting fund groups. This is controlled by a department level checklist which outlines the tasks for pre month end reporting and are subject to a second level review.
  • General Ledger (“GL”), Detailed Valuation (“DVAL”) & Supplementary Reporting. General Ledger, Detailed Valuation and Supplementary Reporting are run from Icon as at the reporting date. The General Ledger is an accounting report detailing the accounts and their balances within each of the portfolios. The Detailed Valuation provides a breakdown of the assets held within each portfolio and include details such as asset holdings and market value. Supplementary reporting provides a more detailed analysis of General Ledger balances in line with client requirements.
  • Reviews are completed between the General Ledger and Detailed Valuation reports to ensure there are no differences between values and account balances across the 2 reports. A review of the Supplementary Reporting values and balances to the General Ledger report is also completed to ensure consistency across the reports. Provide ledger feeds, valuation extracts and supplementary analysis to enable the client to complete statutory and regulatory disclosures.
  • Review all investment accounting reports required by the client to support the general ledger feed. Advise Life Fund Accounting Manager of any issues that require to be raised with the client. Actively participate in the deployment of defined business solutions to remove manual processes. Proactively identify and reduce manual processes for enhanced operational control while upporting and implementing technology up gradation.
  • Lead User Acceptance Testing for the business (as and when required). Extend support to the team in Implementation of new processes / systems being planned as part of the business requirement. Take appropriate measures to support the audit / review process as and when required, while also extending support on other ancillary activities associated with the preparation of Financial Statements and/or audit process.
  • Extend support the Manager in the process and to work in perfect harmony to ensure service level excellence. Adhere to Markets and Securities Services clients’ service level agreements, internally and upwardly communicating delays and issues. Actively participate in production of regular internal reports for management information, including the preparation of Key Performance Indicators. Teamwork & Co-ordination. To share process related best practices with the team. Initiatives to demonstrate the application of principles in the day-to-day work environment Participation and support provided to initiatives taken by other teams.
  • Ensure timely follow up on the open & outstanding issues. Ensure, escalation matrix is followed as agreed either with internal or external stakeholders. Proactively identify and reduce manual processes for enhanced operational control while extending support and implementation of technology up gradation. Lead the audit process and provide appropriate clarification to the Auditors and clients on the Financials of the business handled.

To be successful, you will:

  • Commerce graduate or postgraduate with a minimum of 3+ years of working experience. Professional qualifications in the fields of Accounting like CA (Chartered Accountant), ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants), ICWA (Institute of Cost and Works Accountants), CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) and CS (Company Secretary) with relevant working experience will be preferred.
  • Experience in the field of Statutory reporting with a minimum of 2 years, related either in Financial / Statutory reporting, Financial Analysis, maintaining end-to-end Books of Accounts.
  • Prepare, Review and Analyze the Financial Statement to ensure the Financials statements are prepared to the best of quality and correctness. Ability to read the financial statement and understand reports and notes to the Accounts
  • Sound knowledge of various types of assets, Funds Administration and accounting services and understanding of valuations cycle, financial instruments, corporate actions and accounting concepts will be an added advantage. A basic understanding of investment instruments and their life cycle would be expected.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word skills. Understanding of various reconciliations like Cash reconciliation, etc., Should have an eye for detail and a strong analytical mind.
  • Efficient Time Management and ability to deliver the work in an efficient manner amid varied business situations
  • Good communication to understand the business requirement of stakeholders either Local or overseas. Taking responsibility for the deliverables and ensuring timely delivery of tasks assigned.
  • Learning mindset, learn new and apply their mind for betterment of the process and people. Ability to understand client and jurisdiction requirements and conform to them for all deliverables
