We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Client Life Cycle Management Tax Administrator
- Perform quality control on tax forms validated by client life cycle management production teams and tax data.
- Build on being a subject matter expert in common reporting standards, policy regimes enable practical applications within HSBC through appropriate policies and procedures.
- Ensure a robust tax customer documentation and classification validation process remain in place.
- Provide support for the client’s life cycle and the front office teams on tax documentation queries. Work with Senior tax administrator for day-to-day activities.
- Ongoing review of processes to simplify, align, and automate tax activity processes and to reduce manual process risk.
- Escalate risks and issues and regularly assess and report on the end-to-end health of the risk and control environments. Advise on remedial measures and reduction in standards.
- Plans and prioritize their own and/or others’ work, to ensure alignment with business needs and efficient use of resources.
- Take personal accountability to keep their procedural knowledge up to date.
- Anticipates and identifies risk, and ensures appropriate steps are taken to mitigate them with timely and decisive action.
To be successful you will:
- Seeks out and interprets information, evidence and gaps and using business knowledge to identify and highlight issues and areas of concerns.
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree and relevant work experience of 4-8 years.
- Strong working knowledge of anti-money laundering, tax transparency or regulatory compliance and controls within the banking and financial services industry would be an advantage.
- Strong teamwork initiative good research and communication skills.
- Ability to work professionally with all levels of staff and management.
- Ability to present complex issues confidently and concisely using simple language.
- Strong familiarity with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft Edge.
- Strong English fluency and written skills.
