We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Associate - Legal Data.
In this role, you will:
- Design and/or write procedural documents and maintain job aid that will help in monitoring the quality of coding. Ensure Up to date Process/Procedure Documents are maintained and circulated within the operational teams
- Should demonstrate the ability to come up with out of the box solutions to resolve the complex issues in the profiles. Timely, consistent and accurate coding (Review), recording, monitoring and storage of traded OTC market documentation (i.e. ISDA, CSA, GMRA, GMSLA etc.) information in accordance with Group and local policies.
- Ensure that completed documentation provides appropriate credit and legal protection for the Bank. Role has a profile of Senior Analyst as well as a subject matter expert (SME).
- Responsible for the day-to-day performance of the individual, team’s individual performance, leave management, performance management. As a SME, acts as the first point of contact for any query. Ensure timely production and distribution, as appropriate, or relevant.
- Should be able to propose improvements to enhance Process/ Procedures/ Systems. Ability to handle UAT, process initiatives, new technology implementation etc. Ensure that a database or repository is maintained accurately which contains all complex / unique cases that are picked up at the time of audit
- Ability to maintain and present Key Performance Indicators to justify the Data quality. Understand and comply with all relevant policies and procedures issued by the Group and contained with the Group Standards Manual and relevant Functional Manuals, Desk Instructions Books and Process Guides. Financial Loss, Regulatory Impact, Reputational Damage, Audit Findings / FIM Breach.
- Ability to implement Proactive controls and Action plans to mitigate Data Quality issues. KPIs, KQIs and KRIs. Achieve compliance with all group and risk policy and standard guidelines.
- Given the criticality of the process, transactional volumes and value of the business overall, this role requires the job holder to execute Document swiftly and accurately, adhering to the process and guidelines to ensure nil impact to the business. Any exceptions, failures, inaccuracies or delays could potentially result in any of the following impacts.
To be successful, you will:
- Should be a Graduate/Postgraduate.
- Having experience on either drafting or reviewing OTC master documents such as ISDA, CSA, GMRA, GMSLA etc. Having 2+ years of operations experience. Having experience of handling projects. Evidence of very good prioritizing, planning and organizing skills.
- Ability to comprehend and minimize operational risks including wide understanding of audit controls and compliance requirements. Ability to maintain control, direction and motivation of staff in an ever-changing environment. Be aware of the Operational Risk scenario associated with the role and act in a manner that takes account of operational risk considerations.
- Need to be aware of the Operational Risk scenario associated with their role, and to ensure that all actions during their employment with HSBC take account of the likelihood of operational risk occurring. Ensuring management information and ad hoc reports are produced in a timely manner. Actively participate & contribute to the team in improving processes, productivity & quality of service maximizing efficiency. Excellent teamwork and leadership skills.
- Analytical skills, with ability to recognize areas for development. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. A positive self-starter.
- Evidence of strategy design implementation with sound understanding of internal / external business environment. Evidence in quality improvement, reducing cost and increase in productivity
- Timely, consistent and accurate coding (Review), recording, monitoring and storage of traded OTC market documentation (i.e. ISDA, CSA, GMRA, GMSLA etc.) information in accordance with Group and local policies
- Undertake a 100% quality checking of documentation information coded/reviewed into Perceptiv/ Hexagon. Ability to handle process initiatives like UAT, Project Management, new technology implementation etc. Active participation and contribution in all quality initiatives within the team/ process both for improvement of productivity & quality.
