We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Associate - Global Markets
In this role, you will:
- Tracking of controllable costs and notify COO when surge/dips are noticed. Collaborate with stakeholders to develop a governance model to ensure these attributes are maintained and validated periodically to maintain high data quality standards. Make MSS simpler, better, and faster. Embrace collaboration, trust our colleagues and team with responsibility, decision making and are accountable to each other.
- Create an environment for constant improvement where we continuously upskill, learn & develop, share ideas to streamline, optimize and innovate. Focus on simplification and consider the user with the goal to try and make their life easier with the processes and services we deploy.

Support each other’s careers and look for opportunities to support career development. BMS Service Catalogue to be maintained to ensure all services are logged which include those requested.
- Adopt the Transfer of Activities framework as we onboard more BMS Services/Processes requested by countries along with allotting processes and building out utilities.
- All BMS Services to have documented process and procedures in place and regularly reviewed for streamlining and optimization opportunities identified by individuals within the team.
- When designing BMS services factor in design and user experience to ensure the services are adopted from an ease of use/user experience perspective and that they deliver the right outcomes for the business. Ideate and innovate to make our processes simpler and more value led.
- Timely updates on any actions due for the projects/ programmes. Effective communication networks used to maintain positive relationships and gather momentum on items as necessary. Identifies opportunities to implement scalable solutions that improve revenue, efficiency and or client experience. Used process automation and coding tools like Python and other reporting & MI tools. Worked on Data warehouse or Data Lake projects will be an advantage. Work on Excel based process enhancement and automation projects.
To be successful, you will:
- Markets and Securities Services business/product knowledge. Good understanding of business risks, client base and geopolitical environment. Ability to identify, manage, and mitigate risk effectively.
- Good working knowledge of Python and VBA.
- Strong ability to quickly understand business requirements and concerns and deliver a quality result to them. Lead the development, implementation and maintenance of management information, analysis and reporting framework that supports and informs timely and effective business management and decision making at all levels.
- Establish and maintain a robust and efficient control environment across the Markets Management Office. together with early identification and effective resolution or escalation of issues that arise.
- Focuses on driving results, even under pressure, through personal drive and perseverance and by encouraging collaboration, creating clarity and building stakeholder commitment.
- Develops the infrastructure and capabilities needed to enable operational effectiveness and the delivery of the desired results and ensures that decision making is delegated to the most appropriate people.
- Maintains HSBC internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators.
- Understands, follows, and demonstrates compliance with all relevant internal and external rules, regulations and procedures that apply to the conduct of the business in which the jobholder is involved, specifically Internal Controls and any Compliance policy including, inter alia, the Group Compliance policy.
