We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Risk and Oversight Manager

In this role, you will:

  • Execute key governance responsibilities related to the product life cycle ensuring Group and Regulatory requirements are met for the business
  • Support the creation, review and revision of end to end processes, mapped to associated risks and controls within the Operational Risk Framework.
  • Arrange Stakeholder Review Forums, manage the scheduling of agenda items and undertake follow up activities.
  • Managing workflow tools for product approvals and decision papers as part of digitalized governance progress. Proactively follow up closures and actions.
  • Performs a supportive but important role in ensuring an optimal balance between longer term infrastructure, investments and business development, versus rapid progress with revenue building short term solutions.
  • Demonstrate investigative capabilities on Regulatory and Compliance matters. Maintain awareness of operational risk and minimise the likelihood of it occurring including its identification, assessment, mitigation and control.
  • Foster a compliance culture and implement Group Policy by managing compliance risk in liaison with Group Compliance, Regional Compliance, and or Country Compliance, ensuring adequate resources are in place and training is provided, whilst optimizing relations with Regulators.

To be successful you will:

  • The jobholder should have minimum of 3 years’ experience in Retail or Wealth Product Development, Sales, Risk Management or Head Office roles with Masters/Bachelors degree.
  • An evidential track record in Stakeholder Management, with a particular emphasis on Second Line Functions.
  • Technical knowledge and broad understanding of a variety of products and advice process, preferably gained from exposure to different jurisdictions and regulations.
  • Experience of Strategy Development and execution, Change Management, and Organizational Change across specific financial product categories and customer segments is essential.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Depth of exposure and experience within the Product Management industry.
