We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Manager Transaction Risk Management.
In this role, you will:
- Apply appropriate risk control and operating procedures taking account of changing economic or market conditions (this to include Anti-Bribery & Corruption risk, Anti-Money Laundering Risk and Sanctions Risk).
- To assess the risk on the asset purchased by investigating the cause of the alert and determining the appropriate action and risk mitigation to take.
- Manage various aspects of receivable finance transaction flow including customer credit management, Trade Credit Insurance (TCI) management and customer limit requests.
- Recommend credit limit decisions and/or rationale for existing and prospective clients using both financial and non-financial information. Assist with the testing and implementation of the Commodity Management System (and any future state offering).
- Minimize bad debt through effective risk management including the review of various data sources and exception reports to identify risk indicators Increase credit protection income/client satisfaction through various valued added activities including but not limited to conversions, acting upon client verbatim comments and limit appeals.
- Manage the structuring and monitoring of new facility/transaction facilities to ensure they are workable and that the proposed facility/transaction are in line with industry standards and internal/external banking practices.
- Protect the bank's assets and reputation by monitoring buyers and clients for suspicious activity/transactions and taking appropriate action as per the operating policies

To be successful you will:
- Relevant experience of 5 years within Trade Finance, ideally within one or all of Core Trade, Receivables Finance and Commodity Trade Finance with a risk control lens with excellent knowledge and experience in core trade, receivables finance and commodity trade financing products, risk evaluation, and the finance life cycle.
- Good understanding of operational risk related to the underlying transactions.
- Good ability to work independently and quickly, with good attention to detail and solutions oriented.
- Good command of spoken and written English essential, with strong written and verbal communication skills, enabling productive dialogue with internal and external customers
- Strong ability to read and analyze a wide source of data, including financial and non-financial information.
- Ability to write balanced and well-rationalized credit recommendations.
- Good understanding of financial crime risk.
- Good understanding of applications including Excel, Word and Outlook.
