We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Manager – Product Control.

 

In this role, you will:

  • The Role Holder needs to deftly balance between being a Technical Expert and a Leader / Manager to succeed in this role. The Role Holder is expected to completely understand the Operating Model and align the team accordingly, engage effectively with colleagues across businesses and products, work collaboratively in a global context and proactively seek ways to improve current processes, present ideas and support the implementation of change.
  • The role operates in an environment of very high complexity. The complexity arises from the requirement to understand the various retail, commercial and corporate businesses along with the nature of FX and IR products. The role also requires a good understanding of the regulatory environment which is shaping the FX and IR retail businesses. The role needs to interface with senior managers from around the Group, who can be quite demanding in terms of impact knowledge requirement as well as quality and timelines of work since the work is very high impact, with multiple intra-day deadlines and tight turn-around times.
  • Given the criticality of activities, the role demands Strict Adherence to SLAs, Regular interaction with all the stakeholders & Ensuring quick responses to queries.
  • The job demands a good interpersonal skill and ability to work cross culturally with a team, whose work is highly time-critical.
  • Manage end-to-end process for all retail FX and IR buy-in process.
  • Perform analysis of open exposure and reconciliation b/w TREATS (Treasury) and HUB (Retail) systems.
  • Ensure that processes adhere to appropriate quality standards, with reference to internal and external compliance rules, and are comprehensively documented. Ensure that cover for running each process is adequate within the team by ongoing training and development of staff
  • Ensure the quality of data inputs and FX / IR position is sound, through designing and implementing appropriate controls and checks.
  • Participate in user testing of system enhancements or changes to ensure impact on reconciliation and reports is as desired. Able to manage priorities and workload within schedule and work standards.

 

To be successful you will:

  • A degree / qualification in finance, accountancy or business management.
  • 3-6 years of experience in the Financial Service Industry, preferably in Market Operations or Product Control.
  • High level of competency in the production of information, and the ability to process and analyze large volume of data
  • Self-motivated, excellent communication, adaptability and mentoring skills
  • Demonstrated leadership skills. Experience in managing a team would be a definite advantage.
  • Ability to work cross culturally with a strong collaborative and inclusive mindset. Ability to drive performance under pressure and tight timelines
  • High proficiency in Excel, VBA and MS Access
  • FRM/CFA charter holder
