We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Manager Global Investment Restrictions
In this role, you will be:
- Ensure high quality and consistent management of centrally owned investment restriction rules, including rule set-up, rule testing and end-of-day monitoring on Bloomberg Asset and Investment Manager.
- Partner with global stakeholders across Front Office, Product, Risk, Compliance, Data and Technology to translate mandate requirements into practical, enforceable investment restriction rules.
- Support the development and ongoing operation of a robust global governance framework for investment restrictions, including clear ownership, controls and escalation routes.
- Produce and contribute to management information that provides global oversight of investment restriction processes, with the ability to drill down to detailed root causes and actions.
- Define, maintain and continuously improve quality standards, best practices and operating procedures for rule set-up, testing and monitoring.
- Build and maintain an easy-to-use best practice library and promote knowledge sharing across onshore and offshore teams.
- Work with Data Management teams to define data requirements and improve data quality and availability needed for effective monitoring.
- Maintain a strong control environment by complying with internal instructions and external regulatory requirements, and by identifying, reporting and mitigating operational risks.
To be successful you will be:
- Have strong experience in investment restrictions processes, with at least five years in a relevant role with post-graduation.
- Demonstrate good knowledge of key regulatory frameworks applicable to asset management mandates, including Undertakings for Collective Investment in Transferable Securities and the United States Investment Company Act of 1940.
- Be confident interpreting fund documentation such as investment management agreements, prospectuses and mandate guidelines.
- Have hands-on experience translating guidelines into rules, including negotiation, rule set-up, testing and monitoring in pre-trade and or post-trade environments.
- Bring strong knowledge of Bloomberg market data and practical experience using Bloomberg Asset and Investment Manager or Charles River Investment Management System.
- Be a university graduate with at least seven years of industry experience, with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint (and working knowledge of Microsoft Access and Microsoft Visio).
