We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of MANAGER CONTROLS ASSURANCE
In this role, you will:
- Perform end-to-end Regulatory Compliance (RC) risk testing / control assessments.
- Apply SME judgement to identify and assess process gaps
- Utilise strong knowledge of the compliance risk environment to identify potential gaps
- Execute high-quality testing and documentation
- Evaluate the assigned controls for design effectiveness, operating effectiveness and continuous monitoring, document results and raise issues as appropriate.
- Ensure assigned control assessments are accurate, effective, and completed in accordance with Group chief control oversight office methodology, procedures and templates, meeting quality control expectations.
- Issue management and remediation support
- Raise issues clearly and consistently, including severity/rating, impact, root cause themes, and required corrective actions.
- Ensure issue owners complete sufficient root cause analysis for all material issues and establish appropriate, time-bound remediation plans. Data, automation and analytics-enabled testing
To be successful you will:
- Minimum of 2 years proven experience in Controls testing, audit, compliance or risk management within financial services or other major industries.
- Excellent understanding of Regulatory Compliance topics such as Market Conduct, Surveillance, Cross-Border Checks and Consumer & Client Protection, and/or the aptitude to develop this understanding in good time, and must be familiar regarding relevant regional laws, regulations, and the overall regulatory environment.
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in related field such as business, finance, or equivalent experience; Master’s degree preferred..
- Experience working with local and regional stakeholders and an understanding of global standards of quality.
- Proven interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and team building skills..
- Broad knowledge of banking and a good understanding of all significant regulatory compliance requirements applicable to a CoE.
- Experience developing automation and analytics tools for controls testing with big dataset preferred.
- Fluent in both oral and written English and Proficient with Microsoft Office.
