We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of LEGAL PROJECT MANAGER SUPPORT

Principal responsibilities
- The jobholder will be responsible for compiling and delivering on core tasks within the legal project management team.
- The jobholder will also collaborate with Legal COO teams, vendor billing teams and lawyers globally as required. Hence the role requires strong interpersonal skills and an understanding of the structure of the HSBC Group and its values.
- Ability to adapt work style to meet various stakeholder needs and ability to prioritise workloads when receiving ad-hoc queries.
- Ability to utilize various technologies available to optimize working practices. also ability to identify risks or concerns timely.
- Running weekly pending invoice report for matters that are LPM managed.
- Working with Commercial Management Team and other LPMs to follow up with any issues on invoices or forecasts. Maintaining key data points in Legal Tracker.
- Prepare monthly forecast with associated commentary for finance team. This is a consolidation of commentary prepared by the Legal Project Managers and Prepare regular Legal Market Engagement team internal newsletter, this ensures all wider team are aware of team priorities, challenges and availability.
- At minimum fortnightly, work with Legal Project Managers to actively manage each matter to ensure scope and milestones are tracked against budgets.
- Align with the Legal Market Engagement (LME) team and Legal COO deliverables and goals.
- Comply with wider Legal Risk framework to ensure the highest standard of control is implemented in LPM service and engagement with external vendors.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Finance, or equivalent with minimum of 5+ years of experience in Legal/ Procurement.
- Project Management skills will be added advantage.
- Attention to details and ability to work independently and, where required, collaboratively in a team environment.
- Effective communication and inter-personal skills.
- Lateral thinking/problem solving.
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage workload.
- Be able to work with data in excel spreadsheets.
- Be able to interpret financial data such as budgets and accruals.
- The jobholder is an “insider” for dealing purposes and subject to strict controls and confidentiality.
- Maintain HSBC internal control standards, including timely compliance with internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators.
What additional skills will be good to have
- Demonstrable understanding and application of Group Standards and FIM requirements on transactions, including Legal FIM and using appropriate escalations.
- Follow appropriate procedures and controls to monitor, control and mitigate legal risk in relation to the jobholder’s area of expertise.
