We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Data and Analytics - Analytics

 

In this role, you will:

  • Convert initial simplification scopes into detailed design documentation & technical specifications.
  • Lead gap-analysis activities within Simplification, proposing methods and ideas to reduce complexity and errors in reporting.
  • Build repeatable techniques to identify opportunities for automating or simplifying reporting/MI activities.
  • To execute solution designs into outcomes, including building new reporting/MI solutions on platforms such as Qlik, Looker and Python based tools
  • Work with existing CIB D&A teams onshore and offshore to embed simplification practices, tools and training to reduce reporting effort
  • Support ongoing engagement with stakeholders, business analysts and system owners to understand and deliver simplification initiatives.
  • Act as a champion for MI and reporting simplification within HSBC.
  • Develop junior staff to expand the capability and capacity of the simplification team.

To be successful you will

  • Possess +7 years of experience in data / business analytics in the financial or digital domains. Or similar experience in analytics consulting or managing digital products.
  • Proven experience in forming ‘advisory’ relationships with internal clients
  • Strong business acumen with high ability to diagnose and articulate business problems, translate these into data and analytics requirements, and then recommend solutions for adoption and commercialisation.
  • Proven capability in developing technical business analysis artefacts e.g. functional/non-functional requirements, data lineage etc.
  • Experience in business process mapping and data flow mapping.
  • Demonstrated experience in automation tooling, such as Alteryx, Python and VBA
  • Experience in agile software development and tools such as JIRA, Confluence.
  • Strong problem solving and analytics product management skills.
