We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Data Test Analyst
Purpose of the role
The role resides within the Data Management Change Team, reporting to the Data Change Lead in Bangalore. The position is for a Data Business Analyst within the Data Analytics Office, focused on supporting operational business teams with requirements that depend on Asset Management Data Services. You will work across multiple data services and operational teams to support data service delivery aligned to stakeholder needs, with an initial focus on Security, Holdings and Environmental, Social and Governance data services and vendor data delivery to performance and reporting, client business, and investment teams.
In this role, you will:
- Elicit, interpret, and translate stakeholder conversations and written inputs into clear business requirements and functional requirements to support development and testing.
- Produce high-quality business requirements and functional requirements documentation in line with project expectations and governance.
- Participate in, and where required chair, project and analysis meetings, clearly communicating outcomes, actions, and next steps.
- Define and support testing activities, including planning and executing data testing aligned to requirements and agreed test scenarios.
- Proactively explore brief requirements raised through Jira stories to achieve full clarity, identify gaps, and drive alignment across stakeholders.
- Manage defects for assigned deliveries, including tracking, prioritising, following up on fixes, and coordinating re-testing with relevant teams.
- Communicate confidently and effectively, asking the right questions, challenging constructively when needed, and providing clear responses to stakeholders.
- Work collaboratively with global and regional business and technology teams across time zones, contributing to delivery momentum and shared outcomes.
To be successful you will:
- Minimum 6 years’ relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline.
- Demonstrable experience in business analysis, including translating business needs into business requirements and functional requirements.
- Strong experience partnering with developers and testing teams to deliver outcomes aligned to documented requirements.
- In-depth knowledge of holdings data, securities data, ESG data services, and ESG data providers.
- Experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Strong SQL skills (querying data, joining tables, using primary keys for analysis) and experience across Agile and Waterfall lifecycles, with hands-on use of tools such as Quality Centre and Jira.
