We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Business Risk Senior Manager

Business: GCOO

Principal responsibilities

When required by the stakeholders within Group Chief Operations Office (GCOO), the BIRO operates in a consultancy capacity for information security risks. The BIRO will support the function on certain information security domains, as outlined in the BIRO Standard Operating Procedures, including:

  • Cyber Security Risk Education and Awareness
  • End User Information Security
  • Third Party Security Controls
  • Physical Information Security
  • Data Leakage Prevention (DLP)
  • Cyber Security Risk & Control Assessments
  • Access Management

The GCOO BIRO will be expected to:

  • Support the Global Exception Approval Request process (for when exceptions to policy are requested).
  • Provide security and risk advice to stakeholders upon request.
  • Oversee the response to Data Leakage Protection (DLP) incidents.
  • Cascade security awareness and best practice information and support Cyber Security Education & Awareness initiatives.
  • Facilitate a community of Deputy BIROs that consists of staff from within line of business/function.
  • Partner with Global Business/Function and regional Cybersecurity teams.
  • Support the roll-out of Cyber Security maturity projects.
  • Undertake continuous improvement activities or other initiatives on behalf of the GCOO BIRO team.
  • Prepare and submit required Cyber Metrics reports along with analysis.

Structure

  • The GCOO BIRO has a reporting line into the GCOO Global BIRO and will work closely with stakeholders across HSBC businesses, particularly with Cybersecurity teams. This role is based in BLR / HYD and will support stakeholders in the APAC, MENAT & EU regions in countries in which GCOO functions operate.

Qualifications

A blend of the following skills is expected to successfully execute the BIRO responsibilities:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and can-do attitude
  • Positive and professional attitude, team player, flexible and adaptable, open to change.
  • Confident and takes responsibility and ownership for work and personal development.
  • 15+ yrs of Work Experience and certifications in Information security and risk management.
  • Working knowledge of security/risk concepts and methodologies.
